Dripping Springs Farmers Market: A Guide to Fall Favorites

Nothing says fall in the Texas Hill Country quite like a midweek trip to the Dripping Springs Farmers Market. Held every Wednesday afternoon, it’s one of our absolute favorite places to grab fresh local ingredients, catch up with neighbors, and soak in the cooler season. If you’re planning a trip to the market soon, here are a few standout vendors and exact product pairings our team highly recommends checking out!

1. Cross-Rifle Cantine | Applejack Praline Pecans

If you only pick up one snack to take home, make it the Applejack Pralines from Cross-Rifle Cantine. They are phenomenal—sweet, buttery, and made with just a hint of cayenne pepper that leaves an addictive, subtle warmth at the back of your tongue. They are the ultimate autumn treat to keep stocked in the pantry.

2. Goatilicious | Artisan Goat Cheese

If you’re a fan of goat cheese, Goatilicious is a absolute must-visit. We tried their Fig & Black Pepper Goat Cheese, and it is incredible. Figs always seem to bring out those warm, cozy fall feelings for people, and paired with black pepper and creamy goat cheese, it’s a total winner. They also make a Bacon Ranch Goat Cheese that is just as delicious if you’re craving something a bit more savory!

3. Fran’s Pies | Handcrafted Cherry & Blueberry Pies

Be sure to save room for dessert, because Fran puts so much love and detail into her pie crusts—they genuinely look like artwork. She had gorgeous blueberry and cherry options available when we stopped by. We took home a cherry pie, warmed it up with a scoop of vanilla ice cream, and topped it with crushed Cross-Rifle Canteen Applejack Praline Pecans. It was absolute perfection.

4. EIEIO | Olive & Fig Tapenade (Plus Fun Spreads!)

Here is a fun little party trick or weekend snack idea for your next gathering: grab a container of the Olive & Fig Tapenade from EIEIO Farms.

For a Fall Bite: Pair EIEIO Farms' Olive & Fig Tapenade with the Goatilicious Fig & Black Pepper Goat Cheese on fresh sourdough bread. There is no shortage of amazing sourdough bakers at the market, and the combination of sweet fig, savory olive, and tangy goat cheese is out of this world.

5. Stoked Cold-Pressed Juice | The Peak

To wash down all the artisan sampling, make sure to grab a bottle of Stoked Cold-Pressed Juice. We tried The Peak, and it was so crisp and refreshing. Even better, Stoked runs a great eco-friendly bottle return program! You pay a small $2 deposit, and whenever you bring your clean glass bottle back on your next market run, you get that $2 right back.
